Pure Source has been in the essential oil and aroma chemical business since 1948, and it is currently lead by William Palagonia, who has been in the business for fifteen years. The Palagonia family is third generation in the essential oil and aroma chemical industry. Cappy Palagonia was the president of Orbis and Norda until 1986. His son Bob Palagonia worked for Champon and Associates, George Uhe Inc., before founding the essential oil division of Sarcom Inc. Bob Palagonia employed his son William S. Palagonia in 1995 at Sarcom Inc., carrying on the family tradition. Bob Palagonia retired in 1997 from Sarcom and the business was taken over by William. William lead the company into the 21st century, and was a partner until the owner of Sarcom Inc. became ill. William began Pure Source in August 2007 under the guidance of a former owner of Sarcom, Inc., Mr. Stephen Strouse. Under the direction of Stephen, Bill was able to continue business, even though the company name and headquarters had changed. Pure Source has four offices in China, one office in India, and is the agent for the largest Eucalyptus oil producer in the world. Pure Source works with leading Indian and Indonesian Manufacturers of essential oils and aroma chemicals. Pure Source also handles various citrus by-products from origins around the world directly from processors.

 

Pure Source Nanjing

In 1995, the first office was opened in Nanjing, China representing Sarcom Inc. At that time, the Far East was home to many major producers of essential oils and aromatic chemicals. In 2008, this office’s name has changed to Nanjing Crecle International Co., Ltd. Currently, the office employs six (6) individuals, and is run by Mr. Wang Rong Hua, our Nanjing Director.

The main role of this office is that it establishes a line of communication between all of the suppliers of essential oils and aromatic chemicals in China, with our head sales office located in the United States. The Pure Source Nanjing office allows us to sell and export these Chinese products to anywhere in the world, as well as allowing us to provide our customers with accurate and up-to-date market information. Pure Source Nanjing works daily with Chinese suppliers, gathering info and researching production, so that we have the most current market information during times of fluctuation.

Pure Source Nanjing also handles all of our exports from China, including arranging all of the shipments, as well as the documentation and product sampling.

Kunshan Crecle Flavor & Fragrance Co., Ltd

Kunshan Crecle Flavor & Fragrance Co., Ltd. was established in 1996 in Kunshan, which is located alongside the beautiful Yangcheng Lake in China. Kunshan, which is only approximately 40 miles west of Shanghai, is named "The City of Aroma" because of the abundance of flavor and fragrance corporations located in the region. Due to the close proximity to Shanghai, transportation is very convenient to the port.

Since Crecle’s inception, it’s been the exclusive distributor of citrus products sales within China for Sarcom Inc. Currently, Crecle owns and runs two branches; the first is Crecle Flavor and Fragrance Co., Ltd, which handles all local sales in China. The second, Crecle International Co., Ltd. handles all of our import and export business. Crecle employs a total of fifteen (15) people, out of which six (6) people are dedicated to handling all of the Pure Source Essential Oils & Aroma Chemicals Inc. business in China.

In order to provide better service for all of our customers, Crecle has three (3) warehouses in China, which are located in Kunshan, Guangzhou and Nanjing, housing a total of approximately 10 million RMB in stocks (equivalent to approximately 1.5 million USD stock). This enables us to supply our customers at a stable quality, and in a timely fashion. During 2007, our gross sales volume was RMB 30,000,000.00 within China.

Currently, Crecle does not have an in-house QC department, however, all testing is handled by Kunshan Difei Essential Oils Co., Ltd., whose testing capabilities include GC, Specific Gravity and Refractive Index, among others.

Kunming Zoteq & Sarcom Perfumery Factory, Ltd

Kunming Zoteq & Sarcom Perfumery Co., Ltd was set up in 2001, and it is a large-scale Yunnan essential oil producing factory. Yunnan is located in Southwestern China, and is known to be one of the most diverse provinces in China botanically, allowing the region to support a diverse spectrum of vegetation. The company’s main products are essential oils from Yunnan Province, including Eucalyptus oil, Citronella oil, Geranium oil, Lemongrass oil, Litsea Cubeba, and Wintergreen oil, among others.

The annual production capacity of Eucalyptus oil 'Globulus' is about 300 containers, which equals approximately 4500 tons. The actual annual sales of this item have been around 150 – 200 FCL's in recent years.

This products sourced from this factory are of excellent, stable quality, and reasonable in price. All of these factors have resulted in the world-wide marketability of these products, which are now sold all over the world, including the European, United States, and Southeast Asian markets. Pure Source India

As an emerging source of essential oils and aroma chemicals, we thought it to be of the utmost importance to have a presence in India, and thus Pure Source India Pvt. Ltd., was opened September 1, 2008, located in New Delhi, India. The office is run by Mr. Vikas Rishi, his son, Anant Rishi, and includes a staff of six people. Mr. Vikas Rishi has 23 years in the business and has an immense amount of knowledge about the Indian market and the international market for essential oils and aroma chemicals. The sole purpose of this office is to create a reliable and stable business environment for our customers. The Indian essential oils and aroma chemicals market is very complex, and without people on the ground working with you, it is difficult to navigate. Pure Source's main objective is to connect with farmers and collectors of essential oils and manufacturers of the aroma chemicals. Our office will conduct an audit of each aroma chemical manufacturer we are working with, in order to make sure they are adhering to proper international manufacturing principles. We will also have the capability for some research and development of new items with our people on the ground, so we welcome any ideas from our customers on new items they could possibly have interest in to source or produce. This office is the first of many because we believe India is going to have a very important role in the production of the raw materials for the Flavor and Fragrance Industry.
